Ilesfay FileSharing

Overview

The Ilesfay® FileSharing solution deploys our patented technologies: MatchMaking®, PointToCloud®, ZoneSync®, and SiteSync® to increase both the effectiveness and efficiency of work groups. The architecture of Ilesfay FileSharing uses local caches at the user sites to enhance usability and decrease delays.

Summary

Ilesfay FileSharing is intended for global enterprises that have outgrown simple applications such as Dropbox or Box.net, but are not ready for a full Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Product Documentation Management (PDM) implementation. It’s intended for large data sets being shared amongst multiple locations.

Benefits

Greater Usability & Lower Bandwidth

Significant reductions in both delays to user access of data and bandwidth demands, as most data will be available out of the local cache.

Features

Local Caching

The architecture of Ilesfay FileSharing involves the use of local caches at the main file sharing sites. These local caches store of the most frequently used and most recent data. The cache handles the replication of new and changed data with the central application, freeing the individual user’s machine from this processing and time consuming task.

Infrastructure

Elements of Ilesfay FileSharing are also available as an infrastructure component to other content sharing applications such as Microsoft SharePoint.  In this implementation, Ilesfay’s local caching technique is used with the SharePoint Remote Blob Storage (RBS), allowing it to leverage Ilesfay’s patented MatchMaking & PointToCloud technologies to significantly reduce both delays and bandwidth requirements.

Other Key Features

  • Permissions for accessibility to different files assignable by administrators
  • Data checked out and locked out to avoid multiple versions of the same file
  • Integrates easily with applications of remote managed service providers
